8. In the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog box, type 1 in the Value data field, and then click OK.

9. After making above changes, exit from Skype for Business 2015 and relaunch it.

10. After signing back ,a new option “Appear Offline” should be available.

Initiate the block

1. Search for the person using 'Last Name, First Name' or 'NetID@illinois.edu'or find them in your existing contact list.
   
2. Right-click on the person in the list of contacts.
3. Select 'Change Privacy Relationship.'
4. Then select 'Blocked Contacts' as the new privacy relationship.
   
5. Accept the warning and the person is now blocked.
